MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A mother and her two children escape a fire at their home Sunday afternoon.
It happened on the 1800 block of William Blount Drive in Maryville just before 3:30 p.m.
Capt. Jim Patty told Local 8 News the fire started in a bedroom. He said the home, which is a rental home, suffered heat and smoke damage.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
