PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A feud among amateur lumberjacks will raise money for the medically uninsured in Sevier County.

The Lumberjack Feud is hosting a battle between Firemen and women vs the Policemen and women in a lumberjack brawl. The charity contest is set for Monday, February 25.

On Tuesday, the teams practiced for the upcoming event, and have one more mandatory practice set for later this week.

"It's pretty exciting they're in here training with our world class lumberjacks, and they're doing such a great job," said Matthew Samler, with the Lumberjack Feud. "This is their 5th day of training and we've got one more training to go and they are picking it up fast."

The best public servants from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Sevier County will take part in the competition, matched with professional lumberjacks.

The benefit will help Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic which provides medical care to those who don't have insurance.
