PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An all new comedy show is getting ready to open in Pigeon Forge in the former Kickin' Country building.
Owner Jim Hedrick said the new show will be clean comedy for the family, just as the other shows his company runs.
"We firmly believe laughter is the best medicine and Bob Nelson is going to deliver that in spades," said Hedrick.
The show is going into a building that once housed a show, but the building had been gutted and the company had to redo almost everything.
"It was basically a warehouse. A gutted building if you will. And we've got just 9 days left," said Hedrick.
Bob Nelson is the headline act in the comedy show. For eight years Nelson was the opening act for Rodney Dangerfield. He says he'll entertain the crowd similar to his HBO special that had a set with many doors.
"I started with 2 doors. and I would go in and out of doors as quick as I could go in and out another door, I would come out as a different character. and I interact with myself," said Nelson. "A lot of energy, fast moving, No one knows what's going to happen. not even the sound man or the lighting guy. So it should be interesting."
