OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) An Oak Ridge artist really enjoys painting, despite her disability.
"I love it, I really do," says Cynthia Bloom who paints differently than most.
Cynthia was born with no arms and only one leg. That doesn't stop her from doing what she loves.
She says, "I feel fortunate I can paint and everything. Don't let people tell you you can't do it. Just keep doing what you can do and don't give up and just have faith in yourself.
She loves to paint landscapes and abstracts.
Her husband, George, is her biggest supporter. They've been married for almost 30 years, and he still gets inspired by his wife.
"If a person puts their mind uh they can accomplish extraordinary things if they really want to.If its something creative, then why not," says George.
Cynthia says use what you have. If you're passionate about what you do, put your foot down, and do it.
