HARLAN, Ky. (AP) -- The trial of an eastern Kentucky man charged with murder has been set for October.
The Harlan Daily Enterprise reported that Harlan County Circuit Judge Henry Johnson on Thursday scheduled the cases of 25-year-old Jody Cooper of Cumberland for Oct. 29. Cooper is charged with murder in the 2013 death of Damiano Delaney in Rosspoint.
State police say the shooting was likely drug related.
A co-defendant in the case, 29-year-old Justin Miller of Cumberland, had his case continued until Aug. 7.
