BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Officials say a Fort Campbell soldier is in custody in connection with the death of an Edmonson County man.
An investigation by the Fort Campbell Criminal Investigation Division and Kentucky State Police "led to charges being preferred by U.S. Military Officials on Spc. Robbie Knight" in the homicide of 28-year-old Jeremy Priddy.
Priddy was found beaten and shot to death inside his home on Oct. 9, 2012.
A state police news release says Knight was ordered into pretrial confinement at Fort Campbell, and the court martial process has begun.
Fort Campbell investigators have been involved with the case since Priddy's death.
Priddy's family worked with Crime Stoppers, took out a billboard advertisement in Murfreesboro, Tenn., offered a reward and hired their own private investigator.
