MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the Alcoa man killed in a crash on Highway 321 in Maryville on Monday. Authorities said Matthew Dixon, 26, was killed on impact when the Dodge Caravan he was riding in pulled in front of a dump truck and flipped over.
Police also released the names of the five other people injured in the wreck. They identified the driver of the minivan as 25 year-old James Click from Walland. His passengers were identified as Merrily Dixon, 25, from Alcoa, and 22 year-old Lauren Lynott of Knoxville. A toddler in the Caravan was hurt as well.
The driver of the dump truck was identified as 27 year-old Kevin Weese of Dawsonville, Ga.
Police have not indicated if any charges will be filed.
