KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A field tour this month will give home gardeners and commercial growers information on growing organic fruits and vegetables.
The Tennessee Institute of Agriculture is taking preregistration for the April 24 event at the UT AgResearch and Education Center in Knoxville, online at http://organics.tennessee.edu/fieldtour.html or by phone at (865) 974-7201.
Preregistration costs $10 and is encouraged by April 19.
Hank and Cindy Delvin from Delvin Farms in College Grove, Tenn., will be the keynote speakers. Additional topics to be presented by UT experts include irrigation systems for high tunnels, soil fertility and weed and disease control.
Industry and educational exhibits will be featured in a trade show, which begins at 9 a.m.
