KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- A new school means new opportunities and a lot of change.
Thursday night was the last chance for parents to voice concerns, before Knox County School Superintendent Jim McIntyre begins working on plans to rezone part of the school district.
Students who go to schools like Cedar Bluff Elementary, A.L. Lotts Elementary and Blue Grass Elementary could be forced to relocate to the new school slated for Northshore Drive near Pellissppi Parkway.
Vaiden Taylor, a parent says, "I think everybody knows that there's a need for a new school. And I think esepcially the elementary schools who are so overcrowded. We know that they need some relief from overcrowding."
Doctor McIntyre will present a tentative plan by the end of the month and will ask for more public input then.
