Pedestrian killed in Greene County identified

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A pedestrian was hit and killed in Greene County early Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as 48 year-old Victor Evans from Greeneville.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the man was struck while walking down Chuckey Pike around 5:30 a.m. The man was reportedly about 3 feet out of the lane when he was hit.

Authorities said the man was wearing blue jeans and a black leather jacket. He did not have any identification on him. Finger print and autopsy results are pending.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
