KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knox Co. residents don't even need to leave their home to pay taxes on it now. In fact, they can do pay them from anywhere. The trustee's office now has a way for homeowners to pay their property taxes with their smart phones.
“I’d like to thank the Knox County IT Department for their help in providing this new service” Duncan said. “This is a way for doing business with the county government to become even easier and more convenient.”
To pay your taxes with your phone, just go to the Trustee's website and click on the Mobile Quick Pay link.
The deadline for paying property taxes is February 28. If you're paying by mail, the trustee's office will accept your payment as long as it's postmarked by that day.
You can also pay by going to a participating bank, which include American Trust Bank of East Tennessee, BB&T, First Tennessee, Home Federal, and U.S. Bank. Additionally, or any of the Knox County satellite offices, which are located in Cedar Bluff, East Knoxville, Farragut, Halls, and South Knoxville.
