Victim in S. Knoxville shooting claims suspects shorted him in drug deal

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The man shot after claiming he was shorted during a drug deal told authorities he isn't sure if he wants to press charges.

Brandon Creswell told police he called the suspects, demanding they bring him the remainder of what he bought, and shot him when they arrived. He was taken to UT Medical Center and where he is expected to recover.

The shooting happened Tuesday night around 9:40 p.m. at Montgomery Village Apts. on Cook Dr. Bullets did hit an apartment with people inside, but no one was injured.

One of the suspects reportedly took off in an older model brown Chevrolet Caprice.
