KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police Officers found several items known to be used to make methamphetamine behind a home on in south Knoxville just after midnight Thursday morning, a KPD spokesperson said.
Authorities were called in after someone discovered several suspicious items down by railroad tracks behind a house in the 500 block of Mimosa Ave.
Police secured the area and called in more investigators to process and collect the evidence. Members of the Knoxville Fire Dept.'s Hazardous Material team responded as well to assist in the investigation.
