Remembering the legacy of Charlotte Mull

The Mulls Singing Convention TV Show, shown on My-VLT has withstood the test of time, spanning different generations of viewers.

The show that has been part of East Tennessee for almost 60 years is mourning the loss of host Charlotte Mull. Mull passed away on Tuesday at age 67, quietly at home due to illness.

Mull joined the show after her father, Rev. J. Bazzell passed away, and she continued to host the show following the passing of her mother, Elizabeth, known to viewers as, "Lady Mull."

Charlotte continued the tradition to this day. In fact the show will celebrate year 57 this August, making it the longest running locally produced show in America.

Friends and family remember Charlotte as a fun loving and special individual.

"Once she loved you, and was your friend, she was your friend," said Gail Shelby, Co-host. "A very special lady and loved the fact she was able to carry on the legacy of the Mull family."

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. We will pass them along when we get them.
