Police: Sevierville teen has been found

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Sevierville Police said Alan Pittman, 16, has been found safe.

He was brought to the police station by an acquaintance Monday afternoon.

Sevier County Rescue Squad and other crews searched for the teen who jumped into the French Broad River Sunday afternoon.

According to police, Pittman jumped into the river off of McCroskey Island Road near the Sevierville sewer plant around 4:45 Sunday afternoon.

He ran off from home the night before. But after returning home on Sunday, he saw police officers at the house and ran off again.
