Shawn Smoot allowed to leave Tennessee

ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Accused murderer Shawn Smoot is no longer in Tennessee.

A judge allowed him a three day trip to Pearl River, Mississippi to pick up his belongings. He has to be back in Tennessee by Friday.

If not, he'll violate the terms of his bond.

Smoot is accused of killing Brooke Morris in October 2011.
He bonded out of jail Tuesday.
