GRAINGER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- The Grainger County Sheriff says that only two people were inside an SUV that crashed into the Holston River Monday morning.
The investigation has wrapped up- showing that only Misty Hatfield and Dustin Brown were inside the submerged Ford Explorer.
Investigators are waiting for toxicology results- but it appears the use of some type of narcotic lead the pair to believe two other people may have been inside.
After an extensive search of the area, there was no proof of that.
Both are facing a number of charges- including public intoxication.
