Sinkhole on I-75 SB near Clinch River Bridge repaired

ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn., (WVLT) - The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the sinkhole that shut down one southbound lane of Interstate 75 in Anderson County is fixed.

It developed Tuesday at Mile Marker 126, near the Clinch River Bridge. The hole appeared to be a few feet deep and had shut down one right lane since early Tuesday afternoon.

A TDOT spokesperson said its maintenance crews were able to repair the hole and it did not need to turn to an outside contractor.
