Scattered snow showers Saturday morning have created road problems for some around East Tennessee.
While the showers have been spotty, the roads throughout the area have been dangerous to travel on.
According to TDOT, maintenance crews are on their routes and treating state routes and interstates where necessary all across East Tennessee. TDOT is advising drivers to use extra care while this winter weather is with us.
TDOT crews will stay on their routes as long as the threat of snow and ice is present.
Multiple wrecks have been reported around the area, including a collision involving multiple vehicles on I-75 southbound at Mile Marker 116 near Raccoon Valley Road. One southbound lane is blocked.
Also, Blount County 911 confirms there was a five-car wreck near a UHAUL dealership on Alcoa Highway just after 12:30. Multiple injuries were reported. Rural Metro transported patients to the hospital for their injuries.

In Anderson County, wrecks that occurred earlier this morning around 9:30 or 10 a.m. have been cleared, and no there have been no major wrecks since.
In Blount County, there have been some reports of some icy bridges, but no major wrecks have been reported other than outside of the UHAUL dealership.
