KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- One man was sent to the hospital after another man stabbed him Saturday night.
At about 10:30 p.m., officers from the Knoxville Police Department responded to a stabbing call near the railroad tracks near Cooper St. and Depot Ave.
Officers located the intoxicated victim, Jeffery McCrary, 47, and observed a small puncture wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses at the scene stated the stabbing victim was actually the aggressor in an altercation with another homeless man.
A couple hours later, officers located the other man involved, 43-year-old Mark Borden. Borden's version of the story was similar to what witnesses had stated.
McCrary stated he did not want to press charges against Borden.
