Standoff ends peacefully Tuesday morning in Oak Ridge

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Oak Ridge police spent hours talking down a man armed with an AK-47.

The stand off started around 11:30 Tuesday night on Pratt Lane.

Police evacuated nearby homes, and a negotiator showed up with a PA system to talk with the man.

He eventually walked out of the home and surrendered around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.
