KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking for tips that will help them solve the murder of a 76-year-old man who was found dead in his Morgan County home.
Harold Dean Reed was found on Monday after deputies were asked to check on him because he had not been seen for several days. An autopsy was done to determine the cause of death.
Agents believe an unknown amount of cash was taken from his home in Robbins and a .22 caliber revolver was also stolen. Reed was active on the citizens band radio in Morgan, Scott and Fentress counties and went by the handle "Saint."
Anyone with information about Reed's murder or the location of weapon or cash is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
