DOWNTOWN KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - On Saturday night, dozens took time to support one of east Tennessee's most historic spots for entertainment.
The Bijou Theatre held it's annual "Jubilee!" celebration and fundraiser in Krutch Park.
Photo booths, food, wine, and even some tunes put folks in the giving spirit.
Organizers hope events like this will remind the community of just how important the theater's history, and its future are.
"It's also good for people to know that it isn't easy to keep a historical building to keep it going and have good programing for the community," said Michele Purcell with the Bijou Theatre
It cost $100 to get into the event. The money goes toward making sure the Bijou will be around for another hundred years.
