KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Power outages across Knox County and surrounding areas left thousands without power Monday morning.
At 5 a.m., the Knoxville Utilities Board reported just under 16,000, but that number reduced to 416 at 6 a.m.
The majority of the power outages were in South Knoxville, with 1345 customers without power at 5 a.m.
Temperatures could reach as high as 98 degrees on Monday.
