Train smashes into car at west Knoxville crossing

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Honda Accord was knocked clean off the tracks after being struck by a train early Tuesday morning, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.

Officials said the driver, 21 year-old Jeremy Johnson, was heading south on Agnes Rd. shortly before 3:00 a.m. when the car was struck by a southbound Norfolk Southern train.

The driver suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
