Twister confirmed in Tellico Plains
MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- A storm survey teams says a tornado did hit Tellico Plains on Friday.
The National Weather Service confirms a category EF-2 twister with speeds of up to 130 miles an hour and a path width of 400 yards traveled 14.6 miles.
30 structures were damged. Several were destroyed.
