Officers shoot at woman in stolen patrol car

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people after a chase and shooting Wednesday.

They cuffed Michael Walker pretty easily after responding to a burglary call.

However, Victoria Gaw slipped out of the cuffs and then took off in the patrol car. At one point, officers say she nearly hit deputies with the patrol car.

They shot into the car, hitting Gaw. She was transported to UT Medical Center in stable condition.

Both Walker and Gaw faces several charges. Gaw's charges include attempted second degree murder.

The TBI is investigating and deputies have been placed on leave pending an investigation.
