Crimetracker: Two men arrested on suspicion of multiple robberies

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men today who are responsible for robbing two West Knox County gas stations at gunpoint in January.

23-year-old Scott Jay Brinkmeier of the 500 block of Kingsgate Road and 19-year-old Colin William Weber of 12400 block of Kingsgate Road were taken into custody without incident at their homes today. Brinkmeier was taken into custody around 2:40 p.m. this afternoon, and Weber was taken into custody just after 7:30 p.m. this evening.

Weber and Brinkmeier are charged with robbing the Weigel’s at 12001 Kingston Pike on January 18th. They are also charged with robbing the Rocky Top Market at 1116 Harvey Road on January 20th. In both incidents, the suspects robbed the businesses at gunpoint and fled with cash.

Both men are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and are being held in the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility. Weber’s total bond amount is $25,000. Brinkmeier’s total bond amount is $20,000.
