KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A house fire that broke out early Friday morning forced two people to stay with family and friends.
The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. on Cheshire Drive in West Knoxville.
Knoxville firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames.
Two people were inside at the time. They say they were down stairs, heard an alarm, and found flames when they went upstairs. Both made it out safely.
Firefighters say about a third of the house received some damage.
Right now, fire officials are trying to determine the cause.
