Two quakes in two hours strike Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two tiny tremblors shook east Tennessee overnight Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The first quake struck around 11:30 p.m. around eight miles southeast of Greenback and 28 miles south-southwest of Knoxville. It had a magnitude of 2.0.

The second one was a bit stronger, measuring a magnitude of 2.2. It was centered about eight miles outside of Oak Ridge and nearly 25 miles west of Knoxville. It was recorded just after 1:30 a.m.
