KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- The driver of a motorcycle was flown by Lifestar to U.T. after a serious wreck Saturday night.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office tells Local 8 News that the wreck happened on Lovell Road just south of Snyder Road just before 8:30.
The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 27 year old Timothy Sutton of Knoxville. Investigators say Sutton was heading north at a high rate of speed.
Sarah Ramsey, who was driving an SUV attempted to turn left in front of Sutton. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV.
Sutton was flown to U.T. with life threatening injuries. Ramsey was taken by ambulance to U.T. with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say speeding and alcohol on Sutton's part may have played a role in the wreck. The wreck remains under investigation.
