MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A driver making a U-turn strikes another car and sends both vehicles off of the road, killing the 83 year-old passenger in the other vehicle, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
THP reports indicate Ray Dailey, 88, missed his turn on Highway 72 and tried turning around at Diamond Branch Road when his Ford Edge hit a Taurus driven by Amanda Kittle.
Both Fords went off the left shoulder, while Dailey's SUV also went down an embankment and struck a tree.
