JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Johnson City police say they've arrested a Virginia man wanted as a fugitive for murder.
Police held 48-year-old Gary Wayne Brown of Chilhowie, Va., as a fugitive from justice. He was arrested Saturday after being released from the Johnson City Medical Center. The Smyth County, Va., Sheriff's office in Marion, Va., issued the warrant.
Brown was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and being held on a $100,000.00 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. EDT Monday.
Details of the charges against Brown were unavailable Saturday afternoon.
