Winter Magic Tunes & Tales opens in Gatlinburg Friday

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Free entertainment will open up on the Gatlinburg Parkway on Friday with Gatlinburg Winter Magic.

Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales will be live on the Parkway Friday and Saturday nights between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

The company will debut at the Gatlinburg Festival of Trees and kick off the opening performance of the Nutcracker Sweet on Friday, November 23, both at W.L. Mills Conference center.
Groups of Dickens-style holiday carolers dressed in traditional Victorian era costumes will stroll along the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the evenings of November 23-24, November 30 and December 1, 7-8. 14-15 and 21-22.

Also, visitors will see Zeno the Gatlinburg Bear, who will be delaying hibernation this year to make occasional appearances and greet holiday visitors on the streets as well.
