CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - A serious wreck this afternoon in Cumberland County sent two people to the hospital, and shut down part of I-40.
The single car wreck happened around one this afternoon, west-bound near the Crab Orchard exit.
Witnesses told the Tennessee Highway Patrol that the car flipped multiple times after the driver lost control, and it appeared the car may have had a flat tire.
THP confirms a father and son were inside the car, and both are from Virginia. They were traveling with another vehicle at the time.
Both victims have head injuries, and one was flown by Lifestar to UT Medical Center. But the extend of their injuries and their names have not been released.
