CAMPBELL Co., Tenn. (WVLT) -- A stretch of I-75 in Campbell Co. was shut down in both directions after a driver lost control of his SUV while towing a U-Haul trailer, according to the Tennessee Dept. of Safety & Homeland Security.

Officials said Ryan Thomas, of Simpsonville, S.C., was heading north on I-75 when two tires on the 28 year-old's 2003 Jeep Liberty slipped off the roadway. After coming back onto the road, the Jeep spun and ended up in the southbound lanes where it struck a 2008 Saturn driven by Lena Danielle Rosenberg, of Michigan.

The 28 year-old Rosenberg was hurt in the crash and was taken via ambulance to UT Medical Center.

Thomas, who was not hurt in the crash, was cited for Failure to Exercise Due Care and No Insurance.
