Gas Gap: If oil prices are steady, why are we paying more at the pump?

Posted: 01/30/2009 - Oil prices have dropped from their peak of $147 a barrel last July, to a little less than $42 Friday. That's a drop of more than 300%. But gas prices have dropped only a little more than half, from $4.11 to $1.71 per gallon. The American Automobile Association and the Chief Executive Officer for ExxonMobil, say oil companies and refiners are reducing supplies.
