Flu cases on the rise in East Tennessee


KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- The number of reported flu cases across East Tennessee continues to climb, according to the East Tennessee Regional Health Office.

Since October 1st, there are 737 new cases in Knox County.

That is up from 562 reported cases last week.

That brings the number of total reported flu cases since the start of the season to 1,658.

Across the region, Anderson County more than doubled to 199 while Blount rose to 480, Loudon to 266, Campbell to 175, Sevier to 355 and Union to 148.
