NEW YORK (AP) -- The Empire State Building is in the red -- but it has nothing to do with finances.
The New York City landmark is glowing red today to help raise awareness about heart disease. It's the nation's number-one killer and today is National Wear Red Day.
The city's Department of Health is teaming up with the American Heart Association to bring the message to New Yorkers.
The Empire State Building can be bathed in a number of different light colors -- to celebrate everything from the Fourth of July to the Chinese New Year.
