Knoxville (WVLT) - A few minutes of intense exercise may go a long way to cutting the risk of type 2 diabetes.
A new study shows young men who spent just 15 minutes sprinting substantially improved their ability to metabolize sugar.
Traditional aerobic exercise programs can boost sensitivity to insulin.
This study's high-intensity program did that too, but it also directly reduced the men's blood sugar levels, something that standard exercise programs have not been shown to do.
