A woman's reproductive health and her heart

Knoxville (WVLT) - The things that affect a woman's reproductive health can also impact her heart.

New research shows giving birth prematurely or delivering a smaller than average baby are both associated with a higher risk of heart disease later than life.

Another study found that when a woman's ovaries are removed and the estrogen is not replaced through hormone therapy, her overall risk of dying from any cause rose by 40 percent.
