I think that the director of our school system should think about closing our schools their are so many students out of school that I'm a student at CCHS and I've not had a full class since school has started! I'm going for perfect attendence and I'm scared to go to school for getting sick...

I have a sick child also and I believe that closing the schools down for a few days would definately help Roane County. There will come a day when the children come first, it is time to consider the children and stop worrying about the money!!! What has happened to the society that we live in.

I think they shoud shut the lenoir city schools down too because this H1N1 virus is spreading like wild fire..one of my nephews thru up on the bus, then my other nephew had to come home an hour later because he was running a 104.4 temperture..then my little niece came home and got it too. They need to let schools out because this is a very dangerous virus. It's nothing to play around with. They do not care about the sudents all they care about is their money.People are dieing from this stuff.

cumberland county should be added to the closed school list! took my daughter to the doctor today with 104 temp and was told by the doctor that she most likely had what everyone else has been coming in with, and that's the h1n1. she had already had over 100 confirmed cases and said it is widespread thru-out crossville schools. i wonder what it will take for mrs vanwinkle to close the schools to help stop this from spreading anymore!
