Knoxville (WVLT) -- Children and families were able to educate themselves about everything from dental screenings to dog bites at the Second Annual TENNder Care Family Health Fair.
The event took place at World's Fair Park. The event was there to let children have fun while learning about the importance of things like nutrition and exercise.
"Today children will be able to get information on dental care, how to take care of their teeth, nutrition and exercise and what a visit to the doctor entails, said Charlayne Frazier with TENNder Care of Knox County. "They've got blood pressure that we can check, the dentist will be actually doing a screening. There's a lot of other things here about safety, even how to handle dogs and not get bit!"
Vendors from around Knox County were present to share information.
Frazier said that there 35 vendors present and estimated that nearly a thousand people would be out to support the event.
