Diabetes risk tests offered on Market Square

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Calling it a one day 'wake up call', the American Diabetes Association is hosting 24th Annual 'Alert Day' across the country, including Knoxville.

Today, March 27th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., free diabetes risk tests will be offered on Market Square in downtown Knoxville to the public.

For each risk test taken, deli meat producer Boar's Head plans to donate $5 to the American Diabetes Association.

Information on diabetes education and more events happening in East Tennessee will also be available.
