(WVLT)- They're responsible for a number of deaths and many other trips to the emergency room nationwide.
And despite the misleading name- Bath Salts- they are anything but safe. They're a commonly legal drug that can be found just about anywhere.
And now the nation's largest doctor's group is calling for them to be banned.
The American Medical Association called for federal legislation against the synthetic substance that can cause hallucinations and even death.
Some states have begun banning it on their own..
