Group pushing for bald Barbie for cancer patients

(WVLT) -- Everybody wants to fit in, especially when they're growing up. When you're a young girl who has to wear a scarf on your head because you've lost all your hair to cancer, fitting in can be a tough sell.

Barbie has been an astronaut, a teacher and a doctor among other roles. But there's a new push to create a special Barbie doll to show girls, and grown-ups alike, that bald is beautiful.

A 12-year-old girl in California fighting cancer has joined the campaign.

A new group on facebook is asking Mattel to make a special cancer Barbie doll to honor young girls with cancer.

Visit Facebook to "like" the "Beautiful and bald Barbie! Let's see if we can get it made" page, which already has more than 80,000 members.
