KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The Knox County Health Department will now use i-pads and net notebooks to organize the in school flu vaccination process.
A partnership with an online consent form business called "Zip Slip" helped the health department get the donation of 40 i-pads and net notebooks.
"We will now have access to the children's information on an online data base. Parents will sign the consent forms online and then we will get the information and work from there." said Ranee Randby from the Knox County Health Department.
The health department hopes the computers will streamline the process. Plus, save some money along the way when it comes to printing paper consent forms and hiring people to input data.
The in school flu shots begin Monday October 24th and end November 18th.
If you don't have access to a computer; contact your child's school and they will help you with the online consent form.
