Knoxville, TN (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Ice Bears and The Sports Animal teamed up with Medic Regional Blood Center Monday for an annual blood dirve.
Our professional hockey players greeted donors at the Medic on Ailor Avenue. Everyone who showed up to give blood got a free t-shirt with the print, "Give Blood, Play Hockey" and a buy one, get one free coupon for an Ice Bears game.
Medic has been supporting Knox County and other surrounding areas for 52 years. They provide blood for 21 counties and 27 hospitals.
