CORBIN, Ky. (AP) -- A state agency under contract to inspect hospitals for the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service says it is conducting an investigation at Baptist Health Corbin.
Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services spokeswoman Gwenda Bond confirmed the investigation by the agency's Office of Inspector General, but said that she could not provide any details.
Baptist Health Corbin President Larry Gray said in a statement this week that the hospital is responding to concerns from the federal agency, which cited "procedural and process concerns" during a recent inspection.
He says the hospital has taken action to resolve the problems.
