East Tennessee (WVLT) -- Mercy Health Partners, along with other national, state and community organizations, is participating in a national effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making. As part of National Healthcare Decisions (NHD) activities, Mercy facilities in East Tennessee will provide free information and tool kits for families to have an informed conversation on healthcare decisions from April 12 to April 15, 2011.
As a participating organization in NHD, Mercy is providing information and tools for the individuals to talk about their wishes with family, friends and healthcare providers, and execute written advance directives (healthcare power of attorney and living will) in accordance with Tennessee state laws.
Mercy representatives will be staffing tables with free information about advance care planning and advance directive forms during these dates and times at Mercy locations in East Tennessee:
